Why Jesus Rejoiced (Luke 10:1-24)

In Luke 10 Jesus sends out 72 disciples explicitly as a way of preparation for all that Jesus will do and they recognize it was the authority of Jesus name that gave power and success to their ministry. They were ambassadors – but Christ the king. They were heralds who proclaim Christ not themselves. Are we not in the very same situation accept now we are on the other side of Christ’s work – not part of the preparation – but part of the procession!
