Genesis 3:15 secures the victory against their foe the Devil and pronounces God’s Work in not just undeserving man, but anti-deserving. BUT GOD WILL, God will, God will, is the promise of Genesis 3 to Adam and Eve. Think about how surprising that Grace would be to Adam and Eve! – I have said before that Grace is always surprising – and how could it be otherwise when EVEN when we are FAITHLESS – HE REMAINS FAITHFUL! And not only is HE faithful in ACCOMPLISHING GRACE – but it is always HIM and Him alone who is faithful in APPLYING GRACE. He is sovereign in Justifying us – He is sovereign in Sanctifying us. But look how He then sets the stage through judgment for that Sanctification to shine.
