The first eight verses have been seen by many great commentators as John’s introduction or prologue. These form an excellent road map for where the Book will take us. And it gives us hope for what we will find in a book many are reticent of – because it focuses us on Christ as Victor and Prophet! Behind it all we see that God reveals because He loves His people!
