Regeneration and Regard (2 Corinthians 5:16-17)

As Paul is defending his ministry against attacks in some cases he offers a rebuke of his own. Here Paul is going to indirectly slam his opponents for seeing things all wrong. It boils down to regarding life and people according to the flesh or according to the Spirit. And what Paul is pressing on the Corinthians here is really the same thing he addressed back in chapter 2 of 1 Corinthians, namely that we need the Holy Spirit’s regeneration to see anything properly!
