Meaningful Mourning (2 Samuel 18:1-19:8)

We get to see that passion clearly in the moments before Jesus took our sins upon himself and became a curse, dying on a tree, suspended between heaven and earth. This climax of human history has been foreshadowed in the OT several times, but no where more powerfully than in Absalom’s revolt.
