Christianity, you know, is not so much about having or not having but about the reality of being fully satisfied in whatever condition we find ourselves and that is because on the one hand, our treasures are laid up in heaven ultimately, where we have “an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, [we] by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” and on the other hand, it is because the PERSON of Christ is our true treasure not stuff. When we see the construction of v.9 we see the great TRANSFER (double imputation) but more than that we see the Riches of Christ = His communion with the Father – that Face to Face relationship of Love. You see it is Christ’s riches which make grace fully satisfying!
