This little paragraph recounts the pattern of human history that explains Christmas. It unpacks the drama and the danger that preceded the Incarnation and the splendid accomplishment of the incarnation – but it tells the account in the TRUEST form, from the point of view of the Spiritual realities. This Christmas, I pray that you look at Christmas from this same point of view, because that is when you will be able to stabilize your faith that the Babe born 2,000 years ago is what all of history is about – that your life is caught up in Him – I want you to spiritualize your conflicts so that you can see the Battle belongs to the LORD!
