Wisdom that is Not wise (1 Corinthians 1:18-31)

This section is one of the most important in all of scripture because the question that it takes up is this: “What is our whole approach to the gospel, we either come as little children into the kingdom (see 1 Cor. 3:18) or else, we do what these Corinthians where in danger of doing – we approach it all from the stand point of human reason and human understanding and human philosophy, and we stand in judgment upon it! – this is the great fight that is going on even at this present time.” One of the saddest things to happen is search out salvation through sophistry, rather than fellowship with God. A real… intimate relationship. Why would anyone do that? because union with Christ is the ultimate spiritual wisdom!
